winter’s fresh breath upon my neck

send summer’s steamy wind across my face

the silence of the night, stirs calm in me

a booming in my head keeps me awake

a child smiles to make me cry for you

a bird sings to make me wonder why

why alone around so many people

a tear appears on my smiling face

i hurt with joy to make the bad feel good

yet smile with pain to make me feel you

how can i have you while you’re gone?

how can a day stand still while time passes

how can you love me without hate
