Dinnerware
We never buy dinnerware with the intent of throwing it out
We hope it will serve us for our life time, and even then live on as a legacy of sorts after us
Then one day often after we’ve enjoyed its use and are satisfied, It slips
It’s even worse when someone else’s negligence is to blame
But now there’s the chip, a crack, a Permanent scar that glue just makes worse
But it’s our favorite plate
So we still hold on
Sometime we use a different plate to spare us confronting it
Other times we reach for it, but so carefully to keep it preserved
Either way we choose to hold on
Holding on until it’s finally too broken to be used, or we are too broken to use it
Relationships are hard!
